Newton Single-Vineyard Cabernet 2015 Trilogy
In 2016, while blending for the Unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon from the harvest of 2014, the team discovered that the three best blocks of three vineyards – Spring Mountain, Mount Veeder and Yountville – were so distinctive that they merited bottling as three single-vineyard wines. These are three distinctive wines from the best blocks of Newton’s iconic vineyard, inspired by the great wines of Bordeaux. Produced in small quantities and available in limited release, Newton’s Single-Vineyard Cabernets have a cellaring potential of 25 years.

All the Details
Yountville: Bold and intense aromas of licorice, blueberry, couverture and aged tobacco. The palate is dense, dark and powerful with mulberry and blackberry fruit complimented by chocolate and aniseed. Luscious mouth filling tannins balance the rich fruit character to provide great length for this wonderfully intense wine.
Mount Veeder: Very distinctive with classic cassis and pulverized rock and wet slate with cool, inky fruits, black olives and aniseed. Focused and intense with a spine of fine slate like tannins running the length of the palate. Coal dust and graphite compliment the intense cool and crunchy black currant fruit leading to a long and refined finish.
Spring Mountain: Distinctive red and black currant and blueberry fruit with a lifted perfume of violets, mint, soy sauce and dried thyme. Full bodied with a grapey freshness and deeper dark flavors of mocha, red currant and asphalt. Rich with a silky texture, savory tannins and a long, cool finish.
